At 10 years of its existence, WEKOnnect has evolved into a fully-fledged Social Behavior Change (SBC) Solutions Agency. Previously structured into 3 integrated agencies (WEKOnnect Research, MashRoom Communications, and Kaalomate – a Community Based Organization), the company built a strong foundation from its earlier core service provision in social and market research, integrated communication, and community development solutions.
Leveraging the diverse nature of business and social challenges tackled over the last 10 years and building on the rich gained knowledge, skills, and experiences both at organizational and individual staff levels, WEKOnnect is now focused on leading the strategic appreciation, development, implementation, and evaluation of social and behavior change interventions.
WG’s approach to SBC solution design is rooted in addressing key challenges in programming which are reflected in poor strategic appreciation and application of behavioral science, inadequate involvement of audiences and stakeholders in understanding problems and generating solutions. These consequently limit innovation and lead to inefficient and ineffective design and implementation of SBC interventions. WG therefore aims to design and deliver behavioral science-informed, innovative, and audience-centric SBC solutions.
